Outfit details: My top - Currently sold out but Similar HERE and LOVING THIS PATTERN
Ryan's Outfit: SHIRT ||  PANTS

There is something about cold days, cuddles, and beanies.
And the combination of the 3 of them.
Just wishing I could freeze time.
My family is really really close. We always have been.

I am the oldest of 6 siblings and THE HARDEST part about living in Texas is being 1200 miles away from all of them.

It's okay, sometimes I still cry about it! ( even though I really do like Houston )

My 2 sweet brothers overlapped on 2 year LDS church missions.
It had been almost 4 years since we were all in the same room.

So naturally, you can imagine the excitement driving to the airport to pick my brother up just in time for the holiday season.

Ryan was just 4 months old when he left 2 years ago so we had to break him in a little :)
I have shown him lots of mission pictures over the last 2 years so I was hoping he would semi - recognize his uncle when he saw him.

Saw this ^^ on my mom's calendar and thought it was the cutest thing!

We cut the last link of the paper chain countdown my siblings had going and we headed to go pick him up!

I thought we made some pretty sweet signs for his arrival HA.

OHHH the anticipation...

FINALLY!

THERE HE IS!!!!! ^^^

If we weren't already bawling our eyes out, watching my mom hug him killed us all!

The sweetest moment. EVER.

Having a boy of my own I can't imagine the feeling of a mother's hug after two years.
We can wait awhile before I have to experience that ;) ha ( STAY LITTLE FOREVER CHILD )

Daddiiiiio.

The best family hug in a really really long time.

Gosh, I love them with all my heart!

HEADED to the car to GO HOME!!! ^^

Best day. Favorite people.
Just missing my sweet husband who flew in a few days later because of work :)

It has been heaven the last couple weeks being ALL TOGETHER AGAIN.
First off,
I hope everyone had the best Christmas ever.
We definitely did - kids make everything so magical -
more to come on our Christmas day later but first - SNOW!!!

The snow is finally sticking and it's getting thick.
Christmas Day it DUMPED snow!
We are in heaven.
It's a winterwonderland over here!

I was praying it would snow like this so I could make one of Ryan's 12 days of Christmas - to make his first SNOWMAN!

Living in Texas means we are without snow-gear for our 2 year old,
so naturally he got to wear my little sister's old pink snow pants 2 sizes too big for him HA.

Awesome.

My husband was way more concerned about him wearing pink snowpants than Ryan was.
He could care less.

OH HEYYY MOM ( and Christmas Tree ) !!
 Cutest.

Our little marshmallow.

I think they made more of a "mouse" snowman but I'm pretty sure Ryan thought it was the coolest thing on earth.

We have 1 more week in this beautiful fluffy white stuff and we are taking full advantage!
I don't think I will be ready to leave!!
We have had quite the "Santa's little workshop" going on today.
With last minute grocery store runs, wrapping central, and baking galore,
I think we have prepped for Christmas Eve.

( we did stay away from the mall, we tried that mall thing yesterday and it was outrageous - moral of the story - DO YOUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING EARLY )

Ryan is on the countdown and is almost to counting "HOURS" until Santa comes.
He's going to freak out on Christmas morning.
We are all so excited to see his reaction!
Oh the happiness a little 2 year old can bring!

It's snowing and it's so stunning outside.

The weather man guaranteed us a White Christmas last night so we are pretty happy about it.

This is out our back windows.
It makes you want to throw on slippers and drink hot chocolate cozied up by the fire.
I love it so much.

Obvious last minute grocery store necessities today.
What would we do without Peppermint Ice cream.
They didn't have 1/2 the fat Peppermint Ice Cream - so we had to buy the real thing... Bummer ;)

Christmas Baking galore.
It's so dangerous!

( These oreo cookies are to die for.. )

Wrapping Central.

Fun Fact : My husband made this bow.
SERIOUSLY.
His mom is the bow queen so she taught him well.
His wrapping skills never cease to impress me HA

My little bow helper this morning
I was put in charge of making bows today...
I like that job.

Gosh, Christmas EVE we are SO ready for you!

And through the hustle and bustle -
the gifts,
the treats,
and "Santa Claus" ....

May we all remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas...

Merry Christmas EVERYONE! I truly hope you have the most wonderful Christmas EVE and Christmas Day!
XOXO

P.S. Ryan is set to be the "sheep" in our family nativity tomorrow and I'm pretty excited about it.
For Ryan's 5th Day of Christmas, we made Christmas Sugar cookies.
I always grew up making Christmas Sugar Cookies and I had to have Ryan experience it with my siblings!
He was in heaven the whole time.
Every time I turned away he snuck cookie dough.

I have no idea how he finished the night "tummy ache free"

Christmas tunes were jamming and cookies were flying out of the oven.
The best. EVER.

Frosting tester :)

Rolling pin and a 2 year old is a little dangerous combination.
He was swinging that thing around like a baseball bat - luckily we all came out unharmed. HA

Waiting on the cookies to come out of the oven.
"Cookieee done now?"

Food coloring galore.

PS. IT'S FINALLY SNOWING!
I'm hoping it dumps snow like no tomorrow and we get snowed in :)
But seriously.
Crossing my fingers for a white Christmas!
Come on UTAH!
