Morning time with my best buddy.

Ryan feels the need to take Baby "Brudda" everywhere he goes. ( meaning to drag the ultrasound pictures of baby "brudda" all over the house )

"I wuv you baby brudda", "baby brudda watch daniel tiger with Ryan?" … "Otay" "Come on baby brudda"
HA. Conversation I recorded this morning. ^^  He kills me.

If he is like this with an ultrasound picture, I pretty excited to see how he handles the real thing HA.
Gosh I cannot wait to give him a best friend.

My sweet sweet beautiful babies! ^^

Just because I love putting together little toddler meals.
Seriously, if only they made adult plates with all the little compartments like this.
Parmesan crusted Tilapia, brown rice, carrots, applesauce and strawberries.

Say hello to "Frog Powell". ^^
Discovered by Ryan... in our garage.

"Mamma!!!! I found a frog!"
You should have seen my face when I came out of the house and saw that he was basically "petting a frog".
( I'm thinking something is wrong with the frog because poor thing didn't move when Ryan touched it )
We have since then learned not to "touch" the frog, just to look. HA

Named by Ryan.
It was all I could do to hold back crying ( because I was laughing so hard ) when he told me he wanted to name the frog "Frog Powell"  (( Pretty clever name if I say so myself ))

Fed by Ryan and loved by ONLY Ryan.
( I'm wishing he would leave our garage but Ryan is so faithful to make sure frog Powell comes back in the mornings! )

"Eat the chip, Frog Powell!"
I heard Ryan yelling that phrase and came out of the house to Ryan feeding the frog a chip.
Awesome. ( no wonder the frog doesn't leave child )

Not sure if Frog Powell likes Popcorn chips but he's been given quite a few.

Work is crazy and keeps my husband really really really busy ( crazy lawyer stuff! ) but occasionally he will surprise us and come home during his lunch break and spend 15 minutes with us eating lunch.
It's the happiest ( and fastest ) 15 minutes of our day.
Ryan hates watching him leave back to work again! It's so sad!

Can't stop. Won't stop.
Daddy bowl, mommy bowl, baby bowl.
Aaron and Ry are clearly having to embrace my captain crunch craving each night with me :)

Brushin, and brushin, and brushin.
When you see toes like this, you know Ryan is attempting to "spit" out the toothpaste ( which usually ends up all over the bathroom counter top - he doesn't have great aim yet HA )

Took Ry mini golfing.
He was in heaven.
I can't believe they had a club his size! Everything is cuter when is "miniature".

My work out motivator.
Aaron taught him how to do a push up on these things and pretty soon he will be able to do more push ups than me HA.

Ryan and his great grandpa. I love that he gets to have a relationship with his great - grandpa.

My kind of "adopted niece" (( not my niece by blood but I call her my niece anyways ))
EMMA came and stayed with us for 4 days.
Ryan's face ^^ says it all.
He was in heaven having a little playmate to run around with.

My in-laws have this darling bunk room for their future grandkids.
( however, because Aaron is an only child it's basically for Ryan and "our future children" :) HA
(( I'm really hoping we can fill it up with kids one day - I love babies! ))

Emma is like a granddaughter to my in-laws so she gets her own bed.
It was the cutest thing watching how happy these babies were to have their "own room"!

Anyway, Most random put together group of pictures, but hey!

People are so sweet to be emailing me and checking up because of the Houston flooding, etc!
We are safe and totally ok!
The storm was insane last night and we cuddled up watching the firework show of lightning out the window :)
I was pretty scared, haha I'm not going to lie, it was so crazy!
My VERY FIRST crazy intense tropical storm.
( and I thought Houston thunder storms were intense…. )
Aaron wasn't too phased by it ( just kept checking weather. com on his phone because our TV's were obviously out! ) and Ryan somehow slept through it all HA.

Just so grateful our friends and family here are safe!
Hope all you Houstonians are doing okay!
and hopefully you all had the most wonderful Memorial Day!
Thank you to all those who have served and continue to serve our sweet Country!

^^ Dress : Target

How Far!? - 21 weeks

How big is baby: The size of a Pomegranate! The ultrasound- tech told us baby weighed in at a whopping 13 ounces a couple days ago. It must be all that captain crunch I'm consuming.

Craving: I crave popcorn chips. Have you ever had those things!? I will not say how many bags I went through on my own last week.

Gender: a Mini Ryan!!!! AHHHHHHH! Or as Ryan would say "I'm gonna to have a little Brudda"!!! ( I feel like Ryan should be a rapper with the way he says things - apparently that's the cool way to say it )
I have to say, even though I was pretty convinced it was another boy before the ultrasound, I never thought in a million years I would have TWO boys!! I am so excited. BLUE BLUE BLUE and more BLUE. Perfect scenario. I will be completely outnumbered, but Ryan will have a best sports buddy and my husband will be in wonderland. Pretty sure I will be matching them in everything until Ryan is old enough to tell me it's not cool anymore.

Random: I ordered Ryan's big boy bed from PBK and the boys set it up last night. Ahhh I LOVE it so much! I can't wait to show you his darling room when it's all put together!

Feeling: So, this child is wild. Aaron just sits there with his hand on my tummy every night while our little guy has his "boxing" session.

If you can't tell, this is my sweet baby's little ankle and tootsie! ^^ See his little toes!!! AHHH! So this is what has been kicking me like crazy. All of the sudden I can't sleep lately because he's wide awake conveniently at 11 PM. It's like deja vu all over again - ( Mini Ryan )

Here's to being over halfway and being so so so so so so excited to bring another sweet baby BOY into this world!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
from the bottom of my heart for all the sweet comments about our baby boy #2!!!

Gosh, I love him so much already.
( These boys seriously kill your heartstrings )

Most Definitely,
Ryan's little twin.

ANOTHER BOY!!!!

As soon as the ultrasound tech pulled our sweet baby up on the big screen I looked at Aaron and started to cry!
( yes it was a flat screen TV that we saw our baby on! - WHAT THE FANCY!? )

We knew right then and there it was a boy. Our sweet baby had "RYAN" written all over it!
Gosh those "Powell" genes are strong!
We compared Ryan's 20 week ultrasound to this baby's ultrasound pictures and they are almost identical.
Another little Ryan, another mini of my husband….. another BOY!

I think my heart might explode.
Gosh these boys steal your heart.
We are SO happy.

Ryan has prayed for this baby for a long time and he is pretty dang excited to be getting a best friend.
( Good thing I'm getting this "boy mom" thing down :)

This recipe may be the reason I haven't gained 30 pounds yet during this pregnancy :)
I hardly EVER crave fast food but just like during Ryan's pregnancy I have craved chicken nuggets and french fries for a few months now!
My sweet husband knows it's so "not me" to head out to fast food and get chicken nuggets ( HA I'm so embarrassed to say I have never done that ) so I have perfected them at home.
Naturally, I make this dinner about once a week these days HA.

It is one of Aaron's all-time favorites ( he requests it all the time ) and my Ryan loves it more than the fries and chicken nuggets from Chick-fi-la.

It's one of the easiest things you will ever make and SO SO tasty!
I hope you love it as much as we do.

The chicken finger recipe credit goes to my incredible mamma!
Teaching us healthy eating from a young age, we hardly ever went to fast food joints and she made it all freshly BAKED ( not fried ) at home!
I grew up on these things!

As far as the fries - I just kind of made them up and they are wonderful so we go with it!

Make French Fries First.

Step 1 : Peel Potatoes

Step 2 : Cut potatoes into strips

Step 3 : Spray cooking sheet with PAM and sprinkle potatoes with Kosher Salt.

Step 4 : Cook at 475 degrees for about 40 minutes.
( After about 20 minutes turn fries to the opposite side with spatula )
The fries should almost be looking burnt and be very crispy :)

Like so ^^ Wahhhhlaaa.

Baked Chicken Fingers
Recipe for 2 LARGE chicken breasts
( If I am making more than 2 LARGE Chicken Breasts I double the mixture recipe :)

Step 1 : Cut fat off chicken breasts, wash chicken and cut chicken into strips.
I like the strips really thin!

Step 2 : Get 2 bowls.

In BOWL ONE COMBINE-

1 CUP Italian Bread Crumbs
2 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder

BOWL TWO -
Pour a little olive oil in bowl two.

Should look something like this ^^

Step 3 : LIGHTLY ( emphasize LIGHTLY ) baste chicken with olive oil. The chicken will be slightly damp from washing and doesn't need a lot of olive oil. The crumbs mixture will stick :)

Step 4 : Then toss chicken ( one by one ) in bread crumb mixture.

Step 5 : Spray Cookie Sheet with PAM ( I use foil and then spray foil with PAM - just to prevent sticking! )

Step 6 : Bake at 350 Degrees for 20-25 minutes.
After about 25 minutes I put the oven up to BROIL and leave them in for another two minutes.
It's the BEST when they get really crispy on the outside!

WAAHHLLAAA!
Serve with ketchup. :)
( and we are guac addicts so we make fresh guacamole with everything - I would HIGHLY recommend fresh guac with these chicken fingers! )

P.S.  Some people have asked what I do for veggies on the side of a meal. I grew up ALWAYS having a veggie at dinner!
Usually I will make a green salad for Aaron and I but this time around I just steamed some carrots and broccoli.
Ryan LOVES steamed carrots so that's one way I can get him to eat veggies!

I LOVE this meal because it is kid, husband, and health friendly all around!
I hope you enjoy our family fav!!

P.S. We go in for our anatomy scan TOMORROW to find out the gender of our baby!
I can hardly stand it I'm so excited to see this sweet baby of ours!
Keep up with my Instagram for updates! AH!
I have received several emails regarding home details and I apologize I haven't gotten around to it yet!
We moved in to our newly built home during my first trimester of this pregnancy and I was a little out of commission for a couple months with nausea!!
My mom flew in at just the right time and with her Decor skills she helped me to transform our house in a matter of a few days.

I absolutely LOVE every detail of our little home!
It was a dream come true to pick everything out and SUCH a learning experience.
I wouldn't trade it for the world!
Our building process for this home was pretty standard ( structurally ) - nothing too custom so it was pretty smooth and quick!
Perfect "First Home" experience and I feel prepared for the building process of homes in our future HA :)
( I would recommend building to anyone! )

For safety reasons for my family I have to be careful and not show the outside of our home, the area we live, etc. ( please understand ) but as I slowly finish each room I will picture the inside. :)

My Kitchen.
My inspiration for my kitchen came from my Mom's BEAUTIFUL kitchen.
It is the prettiest kitchen I have ever seen and I LOVED how light and bright it felt.
I cook at least 4 nights a week at home and spend a lot of time in the kitchen so I wanted it to be a light, bright, and clean lined happy look!

My mom and I found these AWESOME olive oil and balsamic vinegar bottles at TJ Maxx along with these cool Salt and Pepper shakers and this gorgeous tray at Marshalls Home Goods.
( almost ALL decor in my home is from Marshalls. I am such a believer in that place! )

Loving the little archways into certain rooms in our home.

Notice the tag on the bottom of the cake plate.
I left that there on purpose for a "real life" feel HA.
I ALWAYS wait about a week or so to take tags off.
I think it's so helpful to bring decor home and display it in your home to see how you feel about it after a few days.
There have been decor items that I absolutely LOVED in the store and after a few days of having them in my home I realized I didn't care for them as much as I thought I did HA.
( P.S. I WILL be taking the tag off of this cake platter. I love it )

I have yet to find something to fill my glass canisters ^^
Something with color pop I just haven't found it yet HA.

Simple and bright. My kitchen makes me happy.

Kitchen Details:

Counter Tops : Omega Stone Level 3 - Victoria
I LOVE my counter tops so much. They are quartz, which is very similar to granite -  My mom has similar quartz countertops in her house and that's where I got the idea. They might be my favorite part of my kitchen!

Backsplash : Wall tile level 13 - Pietra Cristal Cubic Mosaic ( 12x12 Mesh ) 1x1 - Bianco

Wood Floor : Mardi Gras Acacia 5" - Krewes

Cabinet Knobs and Drawer Pulls : KNOBS / PULLS
The design center was going to charge us 17 dollars per cabinet / drawer to order our knobs through them and have the builders install them. I did lots of research, found cabinet hardware online I loved even more than the ones the design center offered and we did them ourselves ( with some help of friends :) We clearly still don't have our "pulls" on our drawers HA but those will get on there eventually :) It was about 1/2 the cost of them doing it for us so I would totally recommend doing it on your own!

Paint Color ( Throughout entire house ) : Worldly Gray by Sherwin Williams

Table and Chairs : Sofia Vergara @ Rooms To Go

Big Framed Black Mirror on Wall above Kitchen Table : Ikea

ALL decor and florals shown : Marshalls Homegoods

Happy Friday All!
