After about 22 hours of labor,
the sweetest baby boy decided to finally make his debut on September 26th, 2015 at 2:32 AM.
Say HELLO to our newest addition!

 LUKE AARON POWELL
8.1 pounds // 20.5 inches long of pure heaven.
He's quite the mini Ryan and perfect in every way possible.

We feel so grateful and so blessed. Life is a little surreal right now.
Please excuse me while I snuggle him to pieces and pray time stands still.
I could cry all over again! I cannot believe we are a family of four.
We have been a little quiet over here… But yes I still have a little crazy babe in my tummy. :)
This is all going to be so random and out of order but life feels pretty crazy lately so just roll with it.

Ry teaching us nursery 101 after church.
And lately all his prayers ask for baby brother to "come out TODAY and play."
This newborn phase is going to be quite the shock to Ryan's system HA.
BUT Hey MR. Ry-man i'm with you buddy! COME ON BABY!

A couple weeks ago on date night.
( If you are a salmon lover - go to Brio and get their salmon. Hands down the best salmon I have ever had in my life! - I CRAVE it! )

 Lover of all things Spot.
Although, we took him to the pet store the other day and he held a real life puppy for the first time in his life.
So now he keeps asking me for a real one!
I thought Fake Spot would do ( and it has for a while! ) but now he is asking for a real puppy. NOOO!!
( I keep telling him he is getting a baby brother instead :)

"Mommy I will read Spot, "Red Truck" book."

Going through my camera roll - These next few photos are from a couple months ago while in Utah with my family.
Totally caught him red handed candy sneakin. ^^

Penguin. ^^

Flower heaven. "After wedding math" ^^

Flippin.

Laundry helpin with my mama.

On the daily ^^

Dr. Ryan.
So my dear friend gave this outfit to Ry and he LOVES it.
Every day he "listens" to the baby's heartbeat and says, "It sounds good today mommy".
Thank goodness I have at home doctor checkups.

Dying to fill this cute thing with a newborn!!

And yes, I'm still pregnant and feeling rather emotional and "large and in charge" :) - 38.5 weeks!
I got spoiled because I came two weeks early with Ryan and so this is the longest I have ever been pregnant! AH!
I forgot the feeling of uncomfortness that comes in these final weeks of pregnancy!
I feel like a ticking time bomb!
My good friend took me running the other day HA, we have biked, I have done jump squats ha almost everything you can possibly think of to get this baby out - I have done it.
I guess he's just making himself cozy in there :)

Everything is packed and ready to go and I am dying to hold my baby!
It feels so close and yet, SO FAR!
This morning I woke up having contractions so let's just hope he decides to come tonight?? Send labor vibes this way :)

Looking at this picture gets me emotional.
He is the ultimate best buddy and we are living up these final days as a duo.
Thanks for the last 3 years of the best duo ever! Love you long time little dude.

Here's to crossing our fingers I go into labor… like TONIGHT :)
( or really really really really really soon )

We met 2 years ago, fell in love (Yes, this is a love story!) and got married July 7th, 2015.
When we first started dating we always talked about living abroad for months at a time but we never knew how it would be possible. After some great opportunities showed themselves we decided we would go to Bangkok Thailand! We leave October 15th for 7 months. After Bangkok we will be headed to NYC.
We want to invite you to come with us! Pack your bags and follow us, as we show you Asia through our eyes!"

See you soon!

I LOVE simple, healthy yummy meals.
My husband often requests this meal so it's a favorite of ours!
I usually have all the ingredients on hand, and it takes about 10 minutes to throw together and toss in the oven!

Step #1. Wash and cut chicken breast into thinner pieces.
( When cooking for Aaron and I, I use a total of two LARGE chicken breasts and cut them in half ( to make them thinner ) and then into about 3 inch strips. It gives it more flavor to have them smaller and not one big HUNK of chicken with a little amount of topping. )

Step #2. Combine the following ingredients in a small bowl.

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
( I use the real Parmigiano Reggiano from Costco (( that I just keep in the freezer so it never goes bad ))

1/4 cup dry bread crumbs

1 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

Stir in bowl and set aside.

Step #3:  In another bowl add a little olive oil.
( I don't measure, I just guess :)
So you should have two bowls. One with the parmesan mixture and one with olive oil.

Step #4: LIGHTLY cover raw chicken with olive oil and then dip into parmesan mixture.

Should look something like this ^^

Step #5: Spray your glass dish and cook uncovered at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
( I usually turn the oven to broil after 20 minutes and leave it in for about 2 more minutes to make the outside of the chicken really crispy! - Total personal preference! )

Serve with angel hair and tomato sauce.
We hardly ever have white grains in our house :/ It's always wheat or multigrain!
This is our FAVORITE "Spaghetti pasta". ^^
I have tried whole wheat pasta and don't like how heavy it is!
This is Multigrain pasta and we love the taste over the wheat pasta so much better!
( This Barilla brand has every other kind of pasta imaginable offered in multi-grain! I love it! - And no it's not a special organic thing! I just buy it at the regular grocery store! )

And WAAALA! You have a simple easy meal!
Whether it's cooked veggies or a salad - make sure you get your greens!

Happy COOKING!

So this happened ^^ and my heart broke into all sorts of pieces!
Mr. Ryan just turned 3 and won't be going to kindergarten for 3 more years but we decided to go ahead and put him in a little preschool.  He LOVES to learn and was totally ready in that aspect. However, that being said, he is quite the little home-body MAMMA's BOY to the MAX.  HA so don't let these happy pictures fool you, he totally screamed when I dropped him off.  The teacher told me she would text me if he didn't calm down.

I kept myself busy for 3.5 hours while he was at school, dreading getting a text that said he didn't calm down! But surprisingly - no text and one thrilled and PROUD 3 year old when I picked him up.

First thing Ry says to me in the car…
"I just love Miss Alisha. I love mommy, and daddy, and Miss Alisha."
( Okay, child... I want to know what she did to make it into the top tier of your "loves" in 3.5 hours time. We have only raised you for 3 years. No big deal. HA )

Pretty sure he came home with 2 little homework assignments. Is this real life!?
I called Aaron at work and was like "Babe, Ryan has homework" HA
He learned to write the letter "L" and was so proud to show me when he got home.

Preschool will be so good with this new baby coming to have a little one on one time with the baby twice a week when he leaves.
However, until this baby comes, goodness I am going to miss my best buddy!
Having 3.5 hours of free time twice a week - I just won't know what to do with myself! HA

Me : "Ry hurry babe! We are going to be late for your first day of school!"
Ryan : "BUT MOMMY! Why is he dead mommy!? WHY!?" ^^

Aaron gave Ryan the sweetest first little "back to school" blessing the night before school started.
I seriously don't know how we got old enough for this!!

So here's to year #1 of preschool and all the adventures that come with it.
We are so proud of you little buddy.

The last port of call on our Southern Caribbean Cruise was the beautiful island of Barbados.
( I know this is a little out of order but I had to get these pictures up for my journaling sake! )

We took an open air bus ^^ around the island visiting pretty beaches.
It was a perfect day to relax and build a "shark sand castle" for Ry. HA
We all got our last taste of Caribbean ocean for the trip and we headed back to the ship for dinner.

29 weeks ^^

We ended the cruise with Ryan dancing the night away and being front and center stage :) HA
( he is pretty shy 97 percent of the time but when you break out music, he will come to life HA )

Overall I LOVED the Southern Caribbean! First time to this part of the world and it was so beautiful!
We cruised Royal Caribbean and did THIS 7 night cruise.

If you love the "beach" scene with lots of outdoor activities I would highly recommend this cruise!
If you are considering cruising something like this while pregnant - the only downside is having more limited choices with excursions. Other than that, the "relaxation beach" part of it all was really really nice!

I loved this cruise because we hit 5 ports in 7 days which was pretty amazing with only 1 day at sea!
The "days at sea" aren't my favorite because the boat is EXTREMELY crowded and it's harder to get around.
I loved that you got to see so many different islands in such a short amount of time!

As far as going back to a specific island - If I had to choose one I would definitely choose St. Lucia.
One day didn't cut it in that pretty place!

A thanks to my wonderful in-laws for such an amazing week as a family!
Sunshine and family time is the best.
