We found out we were PREGNANT!
We were in the process of TRAINING for our first marathon, and I dreaded the 15 mile Saturdays.

February

Celebrated VALENTINES DAY
Hit 13 WEEKS of pregnancy

March

We found out the babes was a BOY!!!!!
Ran a HALF marathon and got out of that nasty first trimester!
Took a long weekend getaway to SAN ANTONIO with my wonderful in-laws.
Felt the baby KICK for the very first time! (best feeling ever)
Got hooked on SHERBET FLOATS

April

Had a perfect EASTER weekend.
Hit the HALFWAY mark in pregnancy!!
Found my pregnancy running inspiration, and mastered my RED MANGO PARFAIT
Took a trip to UTAH and met my family in ST. George.

May

Hubs finished his FIRST year of law school
Had a perfect first pre MOTHER'S DAY
Hit 24 WEEKS!!!!
Took off to HAWAII with my wonderful in-laws!!!!

June

Spent 2 WEEKS in gorgeous Hawaii with my wonderful in-laws. 26 & 27 WEEKS Pregnant.
Celebrated Aaron's first FATHER'S DAY
Hit 30 WEEKS being pregnant!!!

July

Flew to UTAH!!!!! with my sweet family and in-laws and had my first baby shower! Spent a week in the beautiful mountains at our cabin.
The sweetest husband in the world turned 26!!!!
Went to our first BIRTHING CLASS and almost died from laughter and nervousness.
Celebrated our 2 YEAR wedding anniversary with my sweet husband.
Hit 35 WEEKS of pregnancy
Had my TEXAS BABY SHOWER!

August

Finished the baby's NURSERY
Wrote my very last pregnancy post at 37.9 WEEKS (the day before I went into labor)
Brought a BEAUTIFUL BABY BOY into the world. (happiest day. ever)
Finally took my sweet baby HOME!!!!

September

Had the hardest, most rewarding weeks of my life and LEARNED HOW to be a mommy.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF RYAN AND I
Went on our First FAMILY RUN post baby.
Took Ryan to CHURCH for the first time.
Got INSTAGRAM (hahaha big deal in today's world)

October

My parents flew to Houston and Ryan was BLESSED in church.
Ryan went on his first PLANE RIDE to meet my family in St. George.
Ryan went to his first BYU FOOTBALL game and I spent a week with my fam in Utah!
My sweet baby turned 2 MONTHS OLD!!!!
Took a trip to Austin with my in-laws for Ryan's first TEXAS GAME!!!
Baby had his first HALLOWEEN trick or treating and all!

November

Ryan grew like a weed and continued to STEAL MY HEART
Baby's first THANKSGIVING in Houston with my sweet in-laws!
Ryan saw SANTA for the first time.
I turned 22!!!!

December

Ryan got his first CHRISTMAS pictures taken.
Ryan turned 4 MONTHS OLD!!!!
We flew to Utah for Ryan's FIRST Christmas!
Ryan went to his first NBA Basketball game & his First FIRST BYU game!

2012 changed our lives for the better.

It showed us a love we never thought possible

and brought so much happiness.

It gave me the greatest gift of all: to be a mommy.

Love my husband and sweet baby boy more every day.

Best year yet.

Ryan got to come with the adults (my parents and in-laws) to his first Jazz game!

They played the LA Clippers and we barely lost but it was an AMAZING game.

My favorite people!

Who knew you could do this in an NBA game!

Every time I come to one of these games with my family,

I'm reminded how un-naturally huge these players are.

Are feet even allowed to be that big!?

The arena got so loud, Ryan screamed for about the last 10 minutes of the game haha.

We had to get ear plugs for his poor little ears!

But other than that, he slept and some of the LA Clippers players even waved at him from the bench.

He will know that is pretty cool one day.

Great night with my favorite people!

My sweet in-laws arrived in Utah 2 days after Christmas!

We took them to City Creek in SLC.
(beautiful new mall downtown Salt Lake City)

But Ryan saw his first movie in the theater!

We saw Les Mis!

It was incredible. Totally recommend it.

Ryan did a lot better than I thought he would.

He was memorized by the big screen.

We then took Ryan to his first BYU (Brigham Young University) basketball game.

(It made me miss going to school here!)

My family are HUGE BYU fans.

I grew up going to every game and traveling to at least one away game if we could.

(This was the Notre Dame/ BYU football game)

So I'm glad Ryan finally got a taste of our love for BYU sports.

Although he was a little more interested in the water bottle than the game going on right in front of him.

The night ended perfectly when he met COSMO! The school mascot.

He was in heaven.

Sister sister.

It's fun when mom takes us shopping and buys us matching clothes. haha

We had a little too much fun,
and laughed so hard my tummy hurt.

Ryan has the cutest grandmas in the world I tell you!

She rocked the blonde hairbow in the family.

We loved feeling like Minnie Mouse for a day.

Feels like Christmas!

Yesterday we got Ryan's first Christmas pictures taken.

I got some behind the scenes pictures with my phone.

ANNDD I will just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Melts. my. heart.

Rainy days might be some of my favorite.

It is the ultimate excuse to lay in bed and cuddle for hours.

That's exactly what me and this little babe did.

We talked about really important stuff like milk and toys.

He always has so much to tell me.

So my mother-in-law bought a smaller tree for upstairs in their house.

We call it the "kiddie tree".

She bought all types of ribbon and last night her and I created THIS!

She is AMAZING at bows. Seriously. The best.

It turned out so dang cute!

Good luck to my sweet husband who is taking law school final #3 out of 5 tonight.

This craziness will be over in ONE WEEK from today and he will officially be

HALF WAY DONE with law school.

Hallelujah. Happiness and stress "freeness" here we come!

I will start with this picture.

My sweet babies' 3 month pictures arrived in the mail.

Made me smile so big.

I am one happy mommy with this little peanut!

So we watch a lot of sports around here.

A LOT.

(He watches bachelor with me, so I guess we balance it out ha)

My husband is an ESPN fanatic. Seriously obsessed.

I grew up watching lots of sports so I understand the game.

We have always cheered for the same teams,

however this weekend, we had a house divided.

Some good friends of ours invited us to the Rockets vs. Jazz B-ball game this weekend.

Our sweet little Ryan went to Mimi's and Papa's (Aaron's parents) and we went to the game.

I grew up going to Jazz games.

Aaron grew up going to Houston Rocket's games.

Aaron has been to quite a few Jazz games with my family while we lived up in Utah.

So in my little brain I just assumed Aaron would be cheering for the Jazz with me because...

well because I'm his wife haha.

On the way to the game, I was saying things like "when WE win, when WE play tonight.."

"WE" as in "the Jazz".

All of the sudden Aaron stops me and goes,

"Wait a minute! Who is "we"? I'm cheering for the Rockets!

Why in the heck would I cheer for the Jazz!?"

It hit me.

We would be cheering for different teams.

The competitiveness inside of me was eating at me the entire game.

(We are so competitive with each other)

We had bets on who would win.

Guess what? I lost.

I owe him a massage.

Guess what else?

I wore Rockets color shoes without even realizing it.

Fail.

Sad story. but such a fun game, and I got the picture I have always wanted.

Ok not really, but it's funny anyways.

Aaron said because of my hispanic blood it was more appropriate that I be the darker player and he be the pale one. haha fitting right???

I love date nights with the husband, but seeing this sweet face at the end of the night melts my heart.

Happy 15 weeks this week little one!

Holy cow time flies.

My husband is in the middle of Law school finals- YUCK.

Poor boy studies ALL day long every day.

He had his 1st of 5 finals yesterday on my birthday.. what are the odds.

(his finals are scheduled from 6 PM to 9 PM- so he is gone all day)

He felt terrible that it had to be on my birthday,

so he took me on a date LAST friday night to celebrate.

sweetest. husband. ever.

Last Saturday my in laws took me out and completely spoiled me with

presents and cake.

Marble Slab has the best ever!

My mother -in- law knows me way too well.

I will do anything... seriously anything for Birthday Cake Ice Cream with Sprinkles,

and my cake she picked out was just that.

On my birthday, I hung out with this little peanut all day long.

He was my date for the day,

and he is just the cutest date there ever was.
I received the sweetest package from my family in Utah,
and my sweet in-laws brought me dinner.

I woke up to this note by my bed.

Made my entire day.
Greatest birthday present I could ever ask for.

I was soo spoiled.
I have the sweetest husband, baby, family and friends ever.
Thanks for making it so special.
