Oh heyyy!
It's me again.
A quick update.
Couldn't stay away for too long.
I have grown way too much since my last post.

Now I'm 19.6 months old.
Yes almost 20 months.
Big time.

Mommy and I go everywhere together. (nothing new)

We send pictures to Daddy while he's at school to let him know what we have been up to all day.
He gets jealous.

Don't let that one tooth fool you, I now have 7 teeth.
Yes, 7.
They are popping in by the day.
My molars popped out of no where a couple weeks ago.
Daddy says "I a'int no jack-o-lantern any more!"

My favorite date with mommy is when she takes me to Red Mango.
She buys me my own cup, gives me my own spoon and lets me get it all over my face.
But only if I'm a good boy.

I can officially count to 5 and I know the colors Yellow and Blue. (and sometimes purple)
Oh and I am learning my alphabet.
Mom says if I keep growing this fast she will pull her hair out.
Whatever that means.

I told mommy all I need is a ball and a truck to be happy in life.
She agreed.

I request Trader Joes every time we go grocery shopping.
I have to be able to buy the good stuff.

Oh and bedtime stories are my favorite.
Daddy tells them way better than mommy.

Speaking of bed time it's way past mine.
Night, night.
I will be back soon!

After playing around with recipes, I finally found my favorite version of a bunch of them.

My Favorite Green Drink:

1/2 Cup Vanilla Yogurt
(It's way better with vanilla)
(I buy the big container of Dannon Nonfat Light & Fit Vanilla yogurt- It's in a big purple container- it's my favorite ever)

1 Navel orange or 1 Tangerine or 1 Mandrine orange
(I just peel whatever I have on hand- it's amazing with any type of orange)

2 cups of spinach

1/2 frozen banana

7 ice cubes

ANNDDDD BLEND! Put the yogurt in first and frozen things in last so it will mix.
P.S. to make it more filling add a little dry oatmeal (my husband loves it that way)

p.s.s.  i stay away from juice in my smoothies because juice just adds lots of sugar.
I think it is the perfect amount of sweetness without it.
If it needs liquid I will add a little milk.

**Total Calories: 187

I am not a big fan of weird ingredients. The simpler, the better.
I don't cut food groups out, I like eating food I can just throw together that I have on hand.
These are every day ingredients that are ALWAYS in our fridge.
Probably the easiest recipe ever.
It takes me about 3 minutes to throw together.

In fact, I am drinking it as we speak.

The best part about it- I double the recipe and fill Ryan's sipper cup with this almost every day and he downs it!
Seriously. Obsessed.

I happen to love spinach just eating it as a salad, but this is a great way to get those antioxidants from spinach if you hate it!

Happy Friday!!
xoxo
We spent our Friday night date at the park right down the street from our house.
Feeding ducks, chasing ducks, and blowing bubbles.
You would have thought Ryan was at Disneyland he was so happy.

He went through our 2 slices of bread we brought (we were out of bread ha) like it was nothing and pretty soon other people were offering our child some of their bread because Ryan kept saying "More, More".
Worst parents ever - Next time we will bring like 2 loafs. ha

After Ryan realized that he couldn't catch a duck no matter how fast he moved those little legs,

we blew bubbles.

Then the sun started to set.

Ryan model walked for us,
(but seriously, check out his stance)
And we still kept blowing bubbles.

I was once again pinned as the boring parent when daddy showed me up in his bubble blowing skills.

It was so calm and beautiful outside,

I swear the night could have been out of a movie.

Into the sunset, chasing his bubbles.
Happy as a bumble bee.

Ryan's outfit- Sweater: Janie and Jack / Shorts: Polo Outlet / Shoes: Polo

Struttin his step in his yellow T at the ripe age of 19 months.
I really feel like this should be to a JayZ song.

Seriously my child. You and your skinny jeans kill me.

When you are as cool as Ryan, you get a "going away dinner" with these two before leaving to Utah for 10 days.

Oh the life you live little boy.

We packed up the next morning and headed to the airport.
I really wish you could see our child truck through the airport with this thing.
You would die.

Aaron was on Spring Break (which I'm convinced is close in happiness to Christmas morning)
He was able to come with us for 3 days before flying back for school.

Delta cookies, you never fail us.

Utah was blissful.
I was in heaven being with my family.
With all that has happened in the last few months, it was the perfect boost of happiness.

I never thought I would say this,
but the airport no longer terrifies me flying alone with a baby.
We have come a long way and we make quite the flying duo.

Ryan and I kept ourselves so busy while we were gone that we got home to an empty house and didn't know what to do with ourselves!

However, after a week of being away from each other, this was a really really happy reunion for us both.:)

Spring..... ohhhh Spring.
Please come every day.
I'm so in love with you.
The beyond pretty green and low 70 degrees happiness.

I'm pretty sure my run this morning was as good as it gets!

Happy Friday!

Jimmy Neutron hair- awesome.
If only my extra curricular reading went beyond the Twilight series. (yes it's that bad)
I wish I liked books as much as he does.

Aaron is greeted with open arms and open mouths every night.
He loves coming home;)

Please tell me how he does this and somehow clicks the send button.
For all of you that have received a text from our child- ha

Because I have to get veggies down Ryan someway or another.
Seriously works people. He's obsessed with my smoothies.

Aaron came home yesterday and we looked at the calendar.
2 months and 1 day until law school graduation.
But who's counting:)
We got pretty excited.
I am going to make a paper chain.

2 things.
#1. I told my husband I needed to run to the store and get more bobby pins.
His response was, "wait how come, they are all over the house."
Oh the married life and how he loves me ha.
Please tell me how I manage to go through a pack every few weeks.

#2. It's official. I am the St. Patricks Day grinch. I didn't even dress my child in green.
I did make us all have a bowl of lucky charms last night. That counts for festive right?

We have been back twice since the above episode.
If only we could all be this happy grocery shopping.

So my husband has been my trainer lately with weights.
He knows what he is doing ha so I tag along for his weight workouts.
Anyways, MONDAY is "leg day".
I DREADED It ALL day long yesterday and he knows how much I hate leg day,
so he sent me this email to give me motivation of people who have "skipped leg day for working out" hahaha
I was dying.
For those who want motivation to do squats or just want a good laugh- go HERE
Needless to say we did legs at 6:30 PM last night.

Happy Tuesday!
To the rodeo.
This weekend we went with my in-laws to the Houston Rodeo.
If you are ever in Houston, come stay with me and we will go.

I have been 3 times now since living here and
Seriously, it's amazing!

A good excuse to wear a hat and boots (still don't understand how my husband has lived in Texas his whole life and doesn't own a pair of cowboy boots) and eat a turkey leg.

I was in heaven.
Mostly because I got to hang out with these two.

3 things about this picture.
#1. Ryan's skinny jeans.
#2. #dadstatus / Gotta love the sipper cup and baby, food, and wipes falling out of the backpack.
#3. Ryan's first carnival game.

We let him play and Of course, our 18 month old child throws the ball into the winning hole on the first game of his life.
Pretty sure my husband was freaking out and Ryan had no idea what the heck just happened.

 A few highlights were
 Petting the animals,

Winning a big stuffed dog for Ryan,

And seeing pigs race.
Seriously, it is probably one of the funniest things you will ever see.
Of course, our pig we were rooting for is the one taking up the rear!
Little distracted getting out of the gate. It's ok buddy.

Turns out Ryan is scared to death of the carousel.
First time, and poor baby hated every minute of it.
Oh well. Aaron and I enjoyed it. ha

We may have to wait another year for Disneyworld, that or go now and ride It's a small world 50 times.

The night ended with the roping down of calves and bull riding which I close my eyes for,
and Keith Urban who I went crazy for. (ask my husband)

Seriously the best.
Next year everyone needs to fly/ drive to Houston and come with us.:)

Oh heyyy!! It's been awhile since you have heard from me.
NBD I'm just growing like a weed.

18.5 months to be exact.
Don't remind mommy that, for some reason she just cries all the time these days.

I love rocks.
I pound on any door in our house and say "IDE!" (for "outside") ALL day long.
I could live outside, sit in the dirt, and throw rocks all day.

That would be the life I tell you.

Mommy and Daddy took me to Petsmart the other day.
My first time ever.
Even though mommy couldn't stand the smell, Daddy loved it,
and mommy almost gave in to adopting me a dog.
Ok not really but I gave her my big puppy eyes and she actually considered it for once in her life.
One day mom.

Oh yeah. Mom always drags me along grocery shopping but this weekend I discovered Trader Joes' shopping carts just my size.
We won't be going any where else.
Anything with wheels and I'm in heaven.

I live for baths, balls, books, pizza, cheese quesadillas, pB&js and chicken nuggets.
I'm quite the health nut. (making my mom proud) ha

 Hahaha I am so sneaky.
I hide all of mom's stuff in cupboards and trash cans and drawers.
She freaks out because she never knows where anything is.
It's hilarious.
Yesterday she found her hair brush (that she has been trying to find for weeks) in Daddy's swimsuit drawer.
Who would have thought to look there!?
My highest accomplishment.

I love to tell everyone how old I am.
1 is a pretty cool number.
I can almost count to 5 all by myself. Mom is proud.

18 months is a pretty sweet age.
Mom says I talk her ear off all day.
I can say so many new words.
I'm quite the jibber jabber.
Oh how they love me.

Well until next time!
