August 21st, is the most special day of all!
Our favorite little human is TWO!

Even though his real birthday is today we are celebrating his birthday THIS Saturday just so my husband can be in on all the fun... all day long.

Poor child, thinks his birthday is in 2 days.
He has no idea he is already 2.
HA this is the last year we can switch dates on him before he knows the difference right?

My little TWO year old is quite the jib jabber!
He's getting so good at putting 3 and 4 words together to ask me things!

He's also at the "frustrated" stage.
Poor baby tries so hard to pronounce things to tell me what he wants but sometimes I have no idea what the heck he is saying!
He get a little frustrated when we don't understand him ha.

The 'frustrated' part is where the terrible twos make their grand entrance!
Our child is slowly learning that "fits" don't fly in our house!

Quite the learning process.

Half the time Aaron and I are trying to hold back laughter when he starts "fake crying"
Nice try babe.

He's beyond obsessed with planes, cars, trucks, anything motorized and BALLS.
Give him one of those and he will love you for life!

Favorite song is Wheels on the Bus, We sing it about 50 times a day.
He asks me every hour, "Mamma, Bus Pleeeese"

Ice cream obsessor.
Every night he asks me for Ice Cream after we eat dinner.
 TERRIBLE.
HA we limit our ice cream to once or twice a week so it doesn't get too out of control with him.:)

100% boy and the sweetest little love bug.
We are so obsessed with you little boy!

Cannot wait to celebrate your day of birth!
Aaron and I just got back from the happiest trip ever.
We were in heaven overload with each other and with the big Walt D!

Just a little backround,
...... I'm slightly Disney obsessed.

I grew up going to Disneyland with my family almost every year.
And an occasional trip to Florida for Disney World since it was a lot further from Utah.
From Utah to California, it was about an hour and a half flight,
or a 12 hour drive if we decided to brave the terrible car sickness my family suffers from HA.

Having 5 younger siblings, it was the vacation that made everyone happy.

Soon after meeting me, Aaron discovered my family's love for Disney and actually went with my family to DisneyWorld the month before we got married 4 years ago.
That trip was the very first trip Aaron had taken with my family, and according to him,
not every one "does Disney World" like my family does.
We get there before the park opens and we leave after the park closes for a week straight (if it's Disney World) and we never stop.

You come home feeling like you got hit by a train, but you know you really "did Disney".

I told Aaron while we were dating, it was my dream to go to Disney with just my husband and run around like 12 year olds, and hit every ride and show on the map.

A few months ago, Aaron made that dream come true and surprised me.
He told me he was taking me to DisneyWorld to celebrate our Anniversary/ and being done with school.

Oh my gosh, I was like a little 5 year old on those Disney commercials jumping up and down screaming, I was so excited!

Best. Husband. Ever.

(the cutest Olaf carmel apple I have ever seen ^^ )

This summer has been super crazy with Aaron's work and his studies so if we did ever have time together there was usually a book involved or I was helping him study so this was the perfect way to celebrate with no distractions.

This trip was our very first time leaving Ryan together!
(and we were going to Disney World HA poor child, this is definitely the only time we could ever do this before he actually "understands" where we are going- and then we will never leave him at home again for a Disney trip)

We were so nervous about leaving him because we are pretty attached to that little peanut.
But my sweet in-laws took Ryan for the week and Aaron and I didn't have to worry about a thing.

I was on cloud 9 the whole trip.

We flew into Orlando around 5 PM and decided to go to Downtown Disney for the night.

After dinner we found a Ghirardelli Chocolate shop.. OH MY GOSH!
I had raved about this place to Aaron when I went to Chicago with my mom and sister,
so I was ecstatic for Aaron to taste what I was raving about.
Pretty sure he is hooked for life!

We spent a good hour in the biggest Disney Store in the World to pick a few things out for Ryan.
I have never seen so many stuffed Mickey's in my life.

Our baby has a birthday coming up THIS WEEK and what better way to spoil him than with Disney souvenirs?!
Plus we are FINALLY done with school and we can finally splurge a little bit of cash on our child HA.

Heaven. Heaven. Heaven.

Get ready for lots of pictures and the 411 on how to do DisneyWorld!
There were a few things Aaron and I wished we would have known before going into this trip
(they have changed their WHOLE system to modern technology in the last 4 years)
so I will make sure to let you in on the secrets!

Happy Wednesday!! XO
Some people have a motorcycle gang,
but Ryan has an Elmo watching gang.

I am in heaven watching his little imagination begin to spark.

He is obsessed with his collection of stuffed animals and he believes they all need to be present when that little red creature comes up on the television screen.
I'm not huge into babies watching TV but Elmo is definitely our exception.
He is obsessed.

He will carry his animals all over to my room one by one to make sure they all get in on the action.
He just started having little conversations with them and it melts my heart.
I can sit there and watch him for hours.

My baby turns 2 in two days!?
You guys! I don't want to believe it!
We are celebrating his birthday on Saturday so that my husband can be with him all day too.
They grow way too fast and I'm soaking in every morning of Ryan and "the gang" on my bed.
I was so excited to open my mail box and find the cutest little package of hand made bow ties from Kristen at As Darling Does!

As Darling Does truly lives up to its name selling darling handmade blankets, little lady headbands and bows, and little man bow ties.

P.S. I guest posted today on Brooke & Jane talking a little about my Personal Style!- if you would like to check it out!

We had a family ice cream cone date on the driveway.
And Ryan wore a bowtie.

Aaron and I redboxed Divergent and saw it for the first time. SO good.
I'm not a book reader but I want to read this series now. Go see it.

Ry woke up at 6:45 on Saturday morning.
Beauty of having kids.
Good thing he's cute, and good thing we are early risers anyway.

Watched a morning episode of Elmo as a family after our workout.
These are the days.

Did some of this with my love boat.

Made THESE baked sweet potato fries. Oh my gosh. Pinterest winner.

Skyped my favorite people.
Gosh I miss my siblings.

Ate about 5 pounds of guacamole and my tummy is still happy about it.

And just because this is the best kind of breakfast.
Fresh peaches, yogurt and oats.

This week is really exciting for 2 reasons.

#1. Darling Darling giveaway coming for your little ones!

#2. And Aaron and I are taking off on a short flight to our destination for an Anniversary/ Bar little 5 night celebration.
I'm so excited I could cry.

Stay tuned! xoxo

Hey boyyyy, where you from!?

....And where are your pants child?

Guacamole Addict.
I eat this stuff by the spoonful.
Favorite recipe I pinned HERE.. The simpler the better, no extra added unhealthy calories.
**Kosher salt is KEY!

I like these tall animals.
We took Ryan to the Houston Zoo last Saturday and Ryan saw his first "real giraffe"
All of the sudden Herbert (his life size giraffe in his room) is not as cool anymore.

Just some light reading on the plane.
Learn it while you're young buddy.

"I got my my milk n' my tall teeeee."
He could be a rapper.

Just checkin himself out.
I don't blame you kid.

When is comes to pizza... 2 is better than 1.
I like the way you think child.

Just pushing out the belly he's never had.
#stringbean

... And where is your shirt child?

Church Selfie.

If you have this stance... You are guaranteed to be a better duck feeder.

OHHH Chipotle.
You do guac right.
Worth every cent of that $1.80 extra.

Happy Wednesday all!
xoxo
Aaron stayed at a hotel downtown Houston last week for three nights to take his Bar Exam.

Staying at the hotel meant, no distractions, no commute... it was just going to be easier that way.
(apparently Ryan and I are considered "distractions"... HA)

Those were 3 of the longest nights of my life without him!

7:25 PM on Thursday, July 31st, 2014 was the happiest moment!
I thought Law School graduation was happy...

Aaron finished the Bar exam and met us for a celebratory dinner at Brio.
Not only did he finish his test,
but it was our 4 year Anniversary.

Talk about the BEST Anniversary gift ever.
Not having to share my husband with Law School any longer.
It was a dream.

Okay... Law School.

Serious Love/ hate relationship that went on these last 3 years.

Besides getting my own personal "Judge Judy" in the house, I learned some really good lessons from you and here are just a few.

#1. I learned I could never EVER... ever, be a lawyer.
I don't think I would last an hour in law school,
and if by some chance I did, I think I would be the worst attorney EVER.

#2. Patience is key.
Those late nights and the books brought into bed to study made me want to punch a wall
(ok I'm not that aggressive)
but I did learn a whole new kind of patience.

#3. You make me smarter.
Now every time a show or movie has some type of law case, or trial,
my husband sits there and dissects the whole thing  telling me who is in fault for what, what their penalty is, etc.

I act like I understand what he is saying with his big words
but in all reality,
I have no idea what the heck he is talking about.

So then I tell him to explain it to me like you are telling a 12 year old about the law,
and he does and I learn a lot about Criminal Procedure.

I have a new found appreciation for lawyers, doctors, dentists, (whatever your reason of grad school is),
and their wives and families.

Law School/ Bar Exam...
These past 4 days have been heavenly without you!
Good thing you are worth it, I now changed my husband's contact in my phone to "Attorney Powell" HA.

Here's to the real world and students no longer!

And to my husband.. I'm so proud of you.
So lucky to be your wife.
