The newest addition to our little one's closet.
This baby will have more clothes than I do and he's not even BORN!!!!!!!
(trust me, that's a lot of clothes)
Actually my mother in law bought this for us a little bit ago, I'm just behind on blogging about it!
You will most definitely "call the shots" in our house little one.
you will have mommy and daddy wrapped around your finger!
Which brings me to Aaron's and I's recent conversations...
"Who will be the strict one".. who will be "not as strict", etc.
hahaha we settled it and agreed to both be strict in certain areas of discipline,
and to be really fun parents...
(OF COURSE)
but I secretly know I will so be the strict one, (except when it comes to relationships... I told Aaron's he's got that one) (haha if we have a little girl down the road, I will be surprised if he lets her date.. those boys will not like him!)
Ok... I have a CONFESSION to make...
I will find myself every other day, if not daily,
going through all our babies little clothes!!
I have become obsessed with his tiny little outfits!
I can't wait to be the one to dress him everyday.
Oh my goodness he won't be here soon enough!!
21 weeks and 3 days!!
According to baby app on my phone...
Our baby is the length of a big carrot 10 1/2 inches long!
and weights 3 quarters of a pound!
(haha he was bigger than this at our appointment a week and a half ago and he weighed more!)
so the doctor is thinking he is measuring closer to 22 weeks!
But we will stick with the baby app today!

I can say that this week has definitely had it's ups and downs.
I can feel my body wear down so easily each day,
and I find myself just wanting to cuddle up and sleep all the time.

His kicks become stronger each day.
They aren't little flutters anymore, I can definitely feel him moving 24/7.
I have to say that feeling him move is the best part of this whole process.
I love it!

As I said in my most recent post this morning...
We are pretty sure on his middle name,
and we have a few we really like for his first name...
however... I might just have to see his cute face before I decide!!

This week I want Red Mango all the time.
I mean, what else is new!?
but this week it's a burning desire,
like I HAVE TO HAVE IT!
luckily my in laws gave me this giftcard that is currently being put to very good use.
I am proud to say they know my name when I walk in the door.
I also just found out that they are building a red mango just around the corner from where we live!!!!! What are the odds???
You should have seen my face when Aaron told me! I was freaking out!
I am not sure if this will be a good or bad thing... It will be so conveniently close for me to eat it almost daily... I will have to refrain.. regardless,
BEST news of the day.

My phone told me this week... only 19 weeks left!!!
Any other time this would sound like an eternity, but when you have been through 21 weeks of  pregnancy- 5 months... it's like "YES!! bring it on baby!!"
I'm secretly hoping he comes early...
but don't we all??

As excited as I am for this little one to come into our little family..
(trust me nothing could make me happier)
I am soaking up every late night with my husband.
Games, movies, hanging out.. everything.
We are aware that our lives are changing,
for the better...
but also that this time we have now is priceless and to never take advantage of it.

I am grateful so for a little one, and a sweet husband that makes days so much happier when I'm down!
I owe it all to him!
Dear SUBWAY... You are so convenient and quick but I think I might have overdone it. 6 inch on wheat- just doesn't quite excite me much anymore.
Dear BANK downstairs from where I work.. I don't even know what bank you are... but I owe you about 12 suckers that I take from your little treat bucket each day at work. they are addicting. My father in law says his law firm banks through them, so it makes me not feel AS bad. one day I will repay you!

Dear Baby.. I was awaken this morning at 5 A.M. by a kicking machine! Although I couldn't help but smile, maybe wait to kick mommy till 7 when it's time to get up! You are making mommy so tired these days.

Dear working out... This is how I feel about you every single day.
However lately it's towards the "No" column...

Dear running... I finally had to cave and buy a new pair of running shorts, you were getting too tight in the waist to be comfortable.  you make me so extremely tired lately.

Dear Baby (for the second time)... We still don't know what we are going to name you! We have 2 we really like.... and I think we have your middle name picked out....but we might just have to see your cute face before we decide! I am convinced you look like a mini Aaron, even in the ultrasound pictures. However, I keep having nightmares that we will never decide on a name so I get worried.

Dear piano.. I never thought I would say this. But i miss practicing you! the countless hours a day make me now miss you. Aaron promised he would buy me a piano when he gets out of law school, that way maybe I can teach again..

Dear BBQ chicken pizza... I may or may not have mastered making you from scratch...

Dear Aaron... HAPPY LAST DAY OF CLASS AS A FIRST YEAR LAW STUDENT!! YAYYYY!! I'M SO PROUD!!

Dear NOT TOP TEN..
I found another couple pictures for you...
What is my face doing!? What is Aaron's face doing? ha I am so confused.
This is also a classic...
i miss you mountains!!

Dear Animal Planet and River Monsters.. Aaron and I have a secret slight obsession.. Embarrassing or not, we find you fascinating.

Dear Taylor Swift... I heart you!!!

Dear tummy of mine... I still don't understand how you can grow everyday!! lately you hurt! I think it's because you are trying to stretch and grow! Not comfortable at all!!
Luckily I have cute red stretchy maternity pants to make you more comfortable!

Dear TCBY yogurt parfait...
You never will disappoint me!
p.s. thank you to my husband, you made my night!!!

Our DEAR friends..
One of Aaron's best friends from college,
played baseball at BYU,
so us wives always had the athletics to relate to!
He and his wife
found out they are having a boy too!!
Can't wait to have minis just a few days apart!!!

Dear Wednesday... Today you are a special one, because you have marked the end of my husband's classes of his first year of law school, so I like you!
I woke up this morning and felt like my belly had seriously grown overnight.
It feels like that everyday but today was different.
Maybe it was the big bag of starburst jelly bellies I finished off last night,
and the double bowl of honeycombs i had...
Actually that's probably what it was,
regardless... I feel it.
20 weeks and 5 days!
Here comes the baby.
Even my husband said that he noticed my bump today,
which is big, he doesn't usually say much,
he just pats it and says it's cute.
But today he said "I see it poking!!"
Which let me tell you would probably be an insult to any girl any time but this time.  I was so proud.
I even said... "Thank you sweetheart!"
Even after my 6 mile run this morning,
(usually after running, it's harder to see him with clothes haha)
it is still popping!
My sweet little one is finally making his debut!
 Speaking of running..
I got this article off of one of my favorite running blogs!
These are my pregnancy running role models!!
They seriously are my inspiration.
Both of them ran throughout their ENTIRE pregnancy.
(they run about 80 miles a week though)
They are amazing! I only do like 1/3 of that a week.
Screen Shot 2012 04 03 at 10 30 56 AMIf you are interested, you can read the full article HERE...
They talk about how much exercising and running kept them "sane" throughout pregnancy.
I completely agree.  Running throughout the week is almost my therapy.  I call it my mommy baby time.
It keeps me happy, feeling well, and healthy.:)

For your further entertainment... I caught my husband on camera catching flies. haha
This was probably the most thrilling part of last night.  Considering the fact that school and studying took over most of the night.  Somehow about 2 or 3 flies got into our house, and they seem to be multiplying.  SO my husband set out determined to kill them all! It was hilarious.
Today my sweet husband has already satisfied my craving of Red Mango for lunch...
Which by the way I think I have MASTERED the art of yogurt parfait making...
(the red mango here is self serve, so you make your own,
I don't know if it's like that everywhere??)
Anddd of course we got him his beloved chipotle burrito.
Good thing our favorite places are right next door to each other.
How convienent.
Plans for the WEEKEND!?
I have a date with my favorite person in the world!!He promised me my favorite pizza tonight followed by an intense game of mini golf, which trust me my husband and I are very competitive when it comes to this.
Mostly just because he does not like to be beaten by his wife.
(he never goes easy on me!)
Happy FRIDAY everyone!!!
xoxo
20 Weeks!!!
I can't believe we are halfway!!
THIS WEEK little BABY POWELL IS AS BIG AS A BANANA!
It's so exciting.
Half way until we get to meet our little one!!
I can hardly wait.
Tip for the day:
Get the pregnancy baby ap to your phone if you are pregnant!
It gives you updates every single day and it's the best!
Like today, for example,
it tells me to celebrate our halfway point and go get me
something good to eat-
or buy something nice for yourself.
haha which is exactly what I will do.
Red mango here I come.

A mango a day keeps the doctor away.
haha not really but seriously, I have a mango almost every day.

I think it's time I look into getting a belly band or whatever those things are called!
My pants are getting a little too snug in the waist!

I feel him kick me and move constantly ALL day long and it's the best feeling in the world!
It never fails to make me smile.
Aaron feels it every once and a while,
he gets jealous that I get to feel it all day long.

This week he grew from 8 ounces to 12 ounces!
Apparently in the next couple weeks he will be doubling in size.

Lately I have gotten the WORST leg cramps at night.
It's like charley horses times 10
and they last forever.
For all of you who have felt that being pregnant before you will know that it's a terrible pain!
I wake up crying, or I scream,
and Aaron will wake up and be like
"what sweetie what!??!?!"
I will scream "my leg!!" and he will have to rub my calf for about
15 minutes at 2 in the morning.
(it really is that dramatic)
I have read all the articles about this, and I try to do everything it says
to help with them- drinking lots and lots of water, stretching in the day- I sleep on my side, etc.
My mom said that they happened to her a lot
and they got worse as her pregnancies went on and her doctor told her to eat more bananas.
so maybe it is GENETIC?
haha which let me tell you it's a PROJECT for Aaron to get me to eat a banana.
I'm sure that's my problem.
If anyone has any more suggestions or experience please let me know!

My obsession of looking at other people's baby bumps,
and reading their stories keeps growing.
It gets me so excited.

I have to pee (excuse my language) a couple times in the night,
and I don't last very long without having to go on runs.
I have learned to time my runs with a bathroom in sight.
I feel like a camel when it comes to water.
I can't get enough,
I drink water constantly,
and it's amazing how much water you retain
to protect your baby.

Cravings this week- were fulfilled in Utah by Cafe Rio,
and Kneaders French Toast.
I still want fruit all day every day.
I guess that is a good thing!

I feel like I am at the most awkward stage of pregnancy!
I can't fit into maternity clothes,
(some pants fit good because they are stretchy!)
but my clothes are getting a little snug so I feel limited
of what to wear.
My husband was shocked that I fit a weeks worth of clothes into
a carry on suitcase this last week.
I told him it's because I don't have the option to bring everything I own!
I'm actually excited for when my tummy "pops" and people can
ask if I'm having a baby?!

Apparently the baby can hear you now!
My sweet inlaws gave us a book
titled "oh baby the places you will go,
a book to be read in the utero."
Cutest book ever.
We read it for the first time to our baby last night.
How exciting that he can recognize our voices.
awww.

I am meeting my sweet husband at the doctor for our ultrasound
this afternoon.
We are so excited to see our little one!
This ultrasound they will make sure the gender is boy.
Who knows, I could be coming to you tomorrow
to tell you it's actually a girl.
haha my dreams have been so wild.
We are so so happy.
19!! I can't believe we are almost halfway!!!
Next week we go in for another ultrasound to see our little one!
We cannot wait!
I love my bump! I love feeling him kick me,
I honestly love it all...
This week is going to be a little different,
because I'm flying out to Utah and meeting my wonderful familia in St. George
and I cannot wait!
I have missed them way too much!
It's hard to go from seeing them weekly/daily your whole life
to seeing them every other month.:(
Unfortunately because of law school,
Aaron can't come..
(my siblings are so sad, Aaron is the favorite in the family)
It makes me sad to think of leaving him for a week,
I'm going to miss my sweet handsome husband!
Hopefully I will be able to sleep!

I completely jinxed myself into saying that "I have so much more energy lately"
on week 18.
I have learned that you definitely have your days!

Turns out this "energy thing" only
lasts about 3 days here and there.

I woke up the other day, (barely woke up, I felt abnormally tired)
I went to work, came home at 5 and ATTEMPTED to
go on a run. Made it about 4 miles,
and decided there is no way I can go any farther,
(the 90% humidity and 85 degree heat didn't help any I'm sure).
Came home, fell asleep on the FLOOR,
in my running clothes.
Aaron comes home, wakes me up after he finishes working out
around 7.
No dinner ready.- wife fail.

Aaron makes me a couple eggs and a smoothie (such a sweetheart)
It took me about 10 minutes to eat,
and I was back on the couch,
and within minutes.... ASLEEP.
Aaron carries me up to bed,
tucks me in,
and I slept all night long.
I don't know if I have ever felt so tired,

So I have definitely learned that you have your days,
some days the little one takes it all out of you....
but I wouldn't trade this process for the world.
You think you love each other more than anything when you get married,
and somehow that love grows 100 times when you go through this process together,
just when you thought it couldn't grow anymore.
I honestly love it.

This week our baby is the size of a Large Heirloom Tomato,
weighs about 8.5 ounces, and 6 inches long!

He's growing each and every day! I/we feel it!
xoxo
Weekend love.
This would be the way my husband gets around Sams.
This is also my favorite isle in the store. (hence the bulk candy)
We went to Sams merely for samples.
Is that terrible?
It's the best part.
We did stock up on a few necessities,
but our sample cravings were definitely satisfied.
Aaron makes fun of me because every time we are out,
I am always looking for decorations for the house.
I love going into all the decorating stores and sometimes I beg Aaron
if I find something I love to buy it.
He asked me the other day,
"Will you ever NOT want decorations for the house?"
in other words,
"will our house ever be DONE decorating??"
(you can see how much he loves hanging pictures on the wall,
he's actually gotten really good at it.)
I thought about that question for a minute,
thought about my mom and mother in law,
and they never stop looking for things to decorate their house with.
So I replied "No. haha it will just be like this forever."
"Wait until we own a house!"
You should have seen the look on his face.
Good thing he loves me unconditionally.
I have failed to show you our cute bedroom!!!
It's finally coming together,
it feels like it takes forever to fill in all the gaps
when you move in,
and it still has lots to do...
but its coming!
 Best part about the bedroom-
Well of course our big and comfy bed,
AND... our
TV so we can fall asleep to movies.
It's our favorite.
It's also Aaron's way to watch sports center in bed,
(while he brushes my hair and I fall asleep on him)
We also have an x box hooked up,
we haven't had a chance to play recently because we are so busy,
but that is always convenient.
This weekend
We made our way to the BOOKSTORE!!!
So proud of ourselves.
Now those of you who have read my blog in the past,
know that Aaron and I get an 'F' when it comes to reading books.
We are TERRIBLE, we NEVER read.
I am embarrassed to say that my reading extent is the Twilight series,
and my anatomy books for school.
Aaron gets about 6 hours a day in of reading law books,
which sounds like torture to me!
(p.s. mr. 20/20 vision is not going to be 20/20 long!
It's true what they say about law school!,
I think he will need reading glasses by the end of 3 years.)
No time or interest in extra curricular reading,
hopefully we can teach our child differently because I think it's so good for you!
Anyways, We made our way to the bookstore for this reason...
BABY NAMES.
Yes we sat in there for about 45 minutes and went through about 1/3 of this book writing down cute ones that stood out to us.
What a date.
We will be back soon to finish the book.
Saturday night we were invited to a CRAWFISH broil with my in laws.
Have you guys (y'all, ha i don't ever know what to say anymore,
husband says y'all, and the whole world down here says it)
(I don't have the southern accent like my in laws so I don't feel worthy to say it)
ever heard of it???
I had never heard of it!
I was completely blown away.
It's a southern thing.
They just have millions of live crawfish in coolers,
(little kids are picking them up and running around with them)
and they boil them all in a huge pot (hence the CRAWFISH BOIL)
It's amazing how they do it.
I was blown away.
After getting past de-veining them they were so good.
It was an experience never to forget.

EASTER SUNDAY
SO....
Easter morning, I get a text from my mother in law,
saying that she thinks the Easter bunny came and to look on our porch.
OH DID IT COME!!!!
Cutest easter packages ever.
I got my STARBURST JELLY BEANS!!
a gift card to RED MANGO, (so excited)
my in laws know me so well...
and lots of other fun treats.
My husband got a gift card to the movies,
and smores bunnys from William Sonoma!
SOOOO GOOD!!
One of many perks to being pregnant.
I get 2 cookies.
One for me, and one for the baby.
I opened a box from my favorite store in the world to go shopping!
White house black market
and got a beautiful bracelet!
My sweet mother in law...
My husband got such a handsome Ralph Lauren tie!
Ok... I snuck this little picture for keepsake.
This is our cute primary class we teach at church and it melts my heart
when he teaches them... cutest thing ever.
can't wait for him to be a daddy.
Just when you thought our Easter fun was over... NOPE.
My in laws planned an Easter Egg hunt for Aaron and I in their backyard!
18 eggs to find, and they did a dang good job of hiding them!!
I felt like such a little kid, and we loved every minute of it.
He was like an excited little school boy with his basket.
We opened the eggs to find cash, and MORE CANDY.
Cutest in laws ever!
I am so lucky.
Easter is one of my favorite Sundays of the year,
I can't believe it's the last one before we have little babies!
(yes next year we will be setting up an easter egg hunt for our less than 8 month old little baby)
I am so grateful for our Savior,
what a perfect day to be able to remember Him.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend!!
