Dear Wednesday..

My mind is all over the place today. oh Pregnancy Brain..
Dear dentist,
I have never liked you.
I don't hate many things, but I have to tell you that you come close.
The cleaning, the flossing, everything..
I had an appointment about a week ago and was asked by my dentist...
"have you eaten lots of citrus fruits lately?"
Ummmm pretty much everything I have craved the last 7 1/2 months,
Yes. I have.
boom= cavity.
I don't remember the last time I had a cavity..
I can blame the babes for this one! haha
A numb mouth and 2 hours later, (an hour for the cleaning and then an hour for the cavity) I walked out of there thankful I have another 6 months before I have to go in again.

Dear shopping:
My mom, sis, and I went to the Nordstroms anniversary pre sale in Utah,
and I can officially say forgot what it feels like to try on clothes without a belly.
Is this normal!?
I now find more joy in shopping for my baby and husband...
(this will probably change in 2 months when I can actually buy clothes again)
actually... I take that back,
I have become obsessed with baby outfit shopping.
It is my FAVORITE!
It might be a good thing for our credit card that our first child isn't a girl,
(because sometimes I can resist with a boy)
Aaron can get out of law school before that one comes along.
Oh how I cannot wait to dress you little one!
Dear cute little one:
You got us so excited for our little one.
My sweet cousin's baby Taylor, was blessed last sunday.
Oh my goodness is she just the cutest thing?!
Aaron picked up all 7 pounds of her, and said it had never felt so real.
He's going to be the best daddy.

Dear Chips,
How come I crave you?!
Last night before our birthing class,
we grabbed a quick dinner at subway.
I was craving chips,
and instead of buying the dinky little bag they have there,
I convinced my husband to let me run in the grocery store and grab a big bag!
oh the perks of being pregnant.

Dear Laughing Cow-
Ok have you ever heard of this?
Was I the only one that had no idea what this was?
While I was in utah my mom had it at home,
and I'm not big on cream cheese,
but I tried it with crackers and I liked it!
I would recommend it!

Dear little one inside me:
You are making me so so tired:(
I have no energy these days.
To many of you, this might seem like an eternity
but when you consider that you are pregnant for approximately 280 days,
45 days seems like a walk in the park!
(However I hear the last month are the longest days of your life)

Dear Panini Sandwiches-
You are Karina's newest craving.
In Utah, my mom and I made panini sandwiches almost every single day for lunch.
I got hooked.
Turkey, tomato, avocado, spinach, onion and a little provolone cheese.
Oh my goodness.
We bought the actual bread from Kneaders that they do some of their paninis on for one of the days,
but just used wheat bread the rest of the time.. so so so good!
(Side TIP: They are really good with a little pesto... or just some balsamic vinegar)
Ok Karina TANGENT:
but my cute mom ordered me this diaper bag at nordstroms and it came in the mail!! how cute is that!?

Dear Husband-
who got about 3 hours of sleep last night with me.
I don't know what it was, but my body could not fall asleep,
Baby was up all night I swear, kicking away.
I tossed and turned, and he stayed up the whole time,
rubbing my back, getting me tylenol at 3 in the morning for my pounding headache,
rubbing my calves after charley horses,
it was just one of those nights.
You are the best.. I don't know what I would do without you!

Dear Wednesday:
You are going by so slow,
please hurry weekend!

Karina Marie Powell

  1. Be careful with the velcro on the front of that diaper bag. A friend of mine had that one and every time she leaned over it to get something out it snagged her clothes.

    1. Thank you thank you! I went home after I read this and tried it, and yes it totally can snag your clothes if you aren't careful!

  2. Thanks for the sweet comments on my blog! and you are just the sweetest thing with your baby bump!
I'm your newest follower - hope you can follow me back! xo

  3. oh how fun! I remember my first pregnancy more than I remeber any of the others, my husband was in law school then too. But I avoided the dentist at all costs...the pregnancy was enough to deal with!!! good luck, enjoy!!
I am your newest follower..pls follow back if you can.

  4. I'm pretty sure I am going to be voting for your kid for president of the United States when i am in my 70's. Just a prediction.
