30 weeks!!!!

30 weeks!
We had a doctors appointment Friday morning,
and little one's heart beat was loud and strong!
10 weeks and counting:)

So this week we registered.
Which is every husbands dream... hahaha
This picture describes our experience perfectly.
haha here is my husband trying to figure out the strollers.
We were so overwhelmed in there.

Any suggestions on jogging strollers??
Or any other advice on anything would be awesome!
We are so new, and so clueless about everything!

We have a name... but it's our little secret:)

Sitting down for long periods of time is so uncomfortable!
I would rather be standing up or laying down.

I felt like I waddled today in my high heels for church.
haha I almost started to cry.

Aaron took me to Cheesecake factory and red mango last night,
talk about a Karina food high in 3 hours.
My favorite things all put together.

We start birthing classes so soon!
The instructions say to bring 2 pillows and wear comfortable clothes.
My husband is only dreaming of what's in store for us haha.

Sleeping is battle each night haha.
I hear it's just prepping you for having a baby.

I would rather eat a mango than a bowl of ice cream.
I don't know what's happened to my body.
I love lemonade.
I crave it.
For my dessert at night I will have graham crackers and milk.
I crave corn on the cob every day,
and we had turkey burgers 3 times this week.
mmmmmmm
I also made baked french fries for dessert one night.
Aaron loves all my cravings,
he hopes they won't go away after I have this baby.

It's starting to really hit that we will be parents in 2 months.
We are so thrilled.
(and extremely nervous) but so excited.
This whole experience has honestly been the greatest blessing.
We cannot wait for our little bundle of joy!

  6. You look sooo good! The phil and ted stroller is the best stroller! I don't have one, but if I could re-do my stroller choice it would be a phil and ted. It can be a double stroller for the future(and has several other awesome ad-ons if you want them), and it's an awesome jogging stroller(I borrowed my friends and I loved running with it!) they're pretty pricey, but you can find a discounted price on Costco.com. Have fun in UT!

  7. I just have to say, I LOVE YOUR BLOG! You'll be such a cute mommy. And also, if you crave lemonade, have you tried Chick-Fil-A's lemonade? They also have a diet version that is just as good. It's freshly squeezed and absolutely HEAVENLY!

  13. Karina,

My sister says BOB strollers are the best jogging strollers ever. She's a personal trainer and actually created a outside post natal fitness class using just jogging strollers and she loves her BOB stroller! Plus after babysitting for her I'd have to say its probably the easiest stroller I've ever pushed. It has my vote as well. He that helps! And p.s you are probably the cutest pregnant women ever! We are excited for the two of you!

  14. I'm craving lemonade too!! So funny. And I just read reviews on Amazon for hours about strollers. Then I came up with a list and went to the store to try them out. Biggest thing is to practice folding them up. If it's too hard, I wouldn't go with it. We had the Baby Trend snap-n-go stroller and the Baby Trend jogging stroller. The car seat snapped into both so we could use either for whatever activity we were doing and then we switched to just the jogging stroller when she got older.

  15. Wow, it's so not fair how good you look! Check out my blog for a 34 week update and a whale of a picture. Haha We've been making lots of lemonade too. It's the perfect way to end an evening. Hope you have a blast shopping with family! That sounds like so much fun.

BTW, many baby stores like OshKosh are having sales this time of year on their spring/summer stuff. I like stocking up a year ahead on cute clothes for cheap! We have a babytrend jogging stroller. Love it and love it for the price. It's seen many miles. Shwinn is also a great brand with a few more perks. It's my double jogging stroller that I'll get to use in just a few weeks.

  16. You look so good! I have some tips which worked for us but always do whatever works best for you and your family. I have a phil and ted stroller, I was between that one and a BOB. If you decide to go with a BOB just check this website as plenty of them have been recalled :( http://www.parents.com/product-recalls/?sssdmh=dm17.596778&esrc=nwpmmdailytip051212&email=3505879321

Baby shopping is absolutely overwhelming and pricey. There's no way around it. I don't know where you went shopping but I would check what you want from there and double check the prices on Amazon, I saved a TON of money because most of the time the same product was WAY cheaper at amazon. Having said that you don't need everything that they sell even though you feel like you do. The top things that I would say were lifesavers for me are the following:

    - Halo sleepsack (I liked it way better than the swaddle me)
    - A boppy
    - Plenty of burpcloths
    - Try to get pjs with a zipper instead of the clip as the last thing you want to do at 2am in the morning is to take forever to change diapers.
    - If you're planning on pumping just occasionally I would recommend the MiPump brand is not super expensive like the Medela and it does the job if you're planning on solely breastfeeding and just pumping once in a while.
    - A swing or a bouncy seat - you want to be able to put baby down while you're making yourself some breakfast or something haha

    Things I bought that I didn't use:

    - A wipe warmer
    - A million blankets - you really don't need that many
    - Newborn clothes - He outgrew his newborn clothes at 2 weeks! Buy 0-3 months instead

Good luck, let me know if you have any questions!

  17. Sounds like you got things under control, here are some tips for new moms (like me!) that usually overlook/or don't know these points:
-get a priesthood blessing before you go to the hospital, it'll really help out
    - read "baby wise" or "baby whisper", because it helps your child sleep through the night by three months, totally safe and follows the a.a. pediatrics and you are going to want your sleep!
-go on a hospital tour and fill our the paperwork before hand so you are more familiar with the hospital and you don't have to spend time doing paperwork while you are in labor
-don't stock up on diapers because each baby out grows them fast
-get baby onesies where there they also button up at the top because when they have a blow out you can unbutton the top and take it off over his legs, instead of over his head so it doesn't smear the blow out all over his body

  18. I recommend the Babytrend brand. They have a jogging stroller and carseat "package" that I've just loved! Super easy to use and super light!
So excited for you to meet your little one! It's honestly the best feeling ever!! and P.S. yes, the lack of sleep now is definitely preparing you for later :)
My other suggestion is to make sure you have a few light weight blankets for your baby! Since it's summer and hot outside, you don't need a super soft and hot blanket for him to sleep in. The receiving blankets work amazingly! :)
